Blackwater was behind all terror attacks in Pakistan: JI Chief

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan Friday alleged that infamous US security firm Blackwater was behind all terror attacks in Pakistan under the supervision of Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Addressing a news conference here on Friday, Hasan advised the ruling PPP to give the portfolio of interior ministry to someone else to save it’s standing.

Number of Blackwater personnel were present in Islamabad, Fazl

Lakki Marwat: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that as many as 9,000 Blackwater personnel were present in Islamabad, adding that the strength of capital police is 7,000.

While talking to media in Lakki Marwat, Fazal said that destability facing the country was caused by weakening of the democratic government. He prayed that those elements should take over the government who were against abuse of power. He deplored that Blackwater has unleashed Taliban-like reign of terror in Pakistan.

No Blackwater in Pakistan: Malik

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that screening at US airports was an insult of Muslims so the matter should be taken seriously. He said that he is firm on his statement that there is no Blackwater in the country.

Talking to media after the inaguaration of mobile vehicle scanner taken from China, he said that terrorists targeted people on the name of Islam. Islamabad was also in danger if the operation in Swat was not launched at that time, he maintained.

Judge throws out Blackwater manslaughter charges

WASHINGTON: A federal judge threw out all charges on Thursday against five Blackwater Worldwide security guards accused of killing 14 Iraqi civilians in 2007, saying the U.S. government had recklessly violated the defendants’ constitutional rights.
U.S. District Judge Ricardo Urbina said prosecutors had wrongly used statements the guards made to State Department investigators under a threat of job loss.

Blackwater, India behind Suicide Bombings: Munawwar Hassan

Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami Karachi hosted a public gathering on Sunday. A large number of party workers, including women, attended the Ijtema.
