PM discusses Karachi situation with Sindh CM, Governor

Karachi: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday held a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Dr Ishrat Ul-Ebad at Governor House and discussed security situation with them, report said.

The premier is in Karachi on his two-day visit. The meeting reportedly focused law and order situation following Friday’s deadly blasts. 33 people were killed and near 200 wounded in the attacks. The issues faced by PPP and MQM in the coalition government were also mulled over the meeting.

Earlier, on arrival at Karachi airport, the Prime Minister was received by the Governor, the Chief Minister, provincial ministers and other high officials.
