Firing at Election Office in Pindi, Sheikh Rasheed injured and 4 dead

Rawalpindi: Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, leader of Awami Muslim League, has been injured while 4 people have been killed in the firing incident on the election office of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday.

There were about 15 people present in the office when unidentified men attacked the election office of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, leader of Awami League in the area of Khayaban Sir Syed at Pir Wadhai police station.

According to Javed Qureshi, the personal assistant of Sheikh Rashid Sheikh Rashid was being shifted to a hospital. He said Sheikh Rashid was hit on one of his feet.

Sheikh Rashid was coming out of his office when he was attacked by unknown assailants carrying Kalashnikov(s), he said. However, the attack killed at least four guards of AML Chief.

President Asif Ali Zardari has ordered inquiry into the attack and submission of its report immediately.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also ordered the commissioner and RPO to investigate into the incident.
